Yeah, i'll be keeping my eyes open

The 2001 probably isn't a bad truck... but after looking, used trucks are so cheap right now, I can get a 2006 for only 6k more. The only thing I was looking for was after 2003 and before 2007 when the new emissions system went in. While i'm sure the new emissions system is much better for the environment, I'm not completely convinced the cost and complexity is justified. So until my state starts requiring emissions testing (when is hell scheduled to freeze over?) i'll stick with a pre 2007.

The other guy backed out so the truck is now sitting in my driveway.

Thanks for all the help.

I just re-read this whole thread and picked up on the 04 having 4 wheel disc brakes. Wasn't that one of the changes between 04 and 04.5?

Congrats on the truck, from what I have read on here a lot of 04.5 owners think they are one of, if not, the best year.

I would hope that all the 3rd gens' have 4-wheel disk brakes. If not, than tha's a major retrograde step that Dodge took in '03 & '04, as the '01.5 & '02 second-gen trucks had them standard. The rest of us just wish we had them.

And - to the original post owner - congratulaitons on the truck!
