Filling an air tank with boost pressure

the air compressure on my kelderman air ride burnt out 6 years ago so i hooked up a hose on the air horn and a check valve . every time i romp on it it pumps air to my tank and i can use the 45 psi to air up the airride or a flat tire. works great

Then when I need faster spool-up I can switch it over to the exhaust manifold to assist things.

It sure would be nice for the guys running air bags to be able to have the extra air reserve...
Some of you might think it is hokey, and maybe it is but I don't see why it couldn't be done.... No not to run air tools or anything, but for something that doesn't need alot of pressure, or volume and a perfect example would be for air bag systems...
Why wouldn't it work??? About a 3/8" hose plumbed into the intake side with a one way check valve??? 30 psi is 30 psi and it wouldn't take but a couple seconds to fill this onces the boost pressure came about...
At least it would be a fun experiment and cheap enough to try out....

I hope you don't think I took that the wrong way... It does sound like a "off the wall" thing, but I was just throwing out the idea. I seems like there is always a way to tap onto some un-used energy some where.... I just thought "hey why not?"
.... Anyway some guys won't hear of it, some will make fun of it, some will try it, some will make it work for something, some won't... but what the heck 
....One of these days I might try it, but first I wanted to see if anyone has tried it and failed (and why)... but since no one has talked about failure then I will put it on the "to-do" list and see what happens
...
