I think the guy might have his partnumbers wrong though, doesn't 6BTA stand for 6BTAftercooled? I'm not seeing any intercooler anywhere?

Unless that TALL intake manifold is some sort of air - water cooler, and i am pretty sure it is not , than you are correct , that is not a 6 BTA , it is a 6 BT.

that is an air to water aftercooler. standard on industrial c motors, havent seen one on a b though.

yep air-water. Same engine we have in the 95 SPECON. They aren't just industrial apps.
