He probably ought to visit a CarMax, and let them buy it.
Probably I would lemon it and if that didn;t work, cut my losses and trade it in...if anyone would take a 6.0L on trade?

Guess this is one of those rare times that you might actually hope that the truck would catch on fire. Then at least you could let it burn down a while, and call your insurance agent before you called the fire department.
I only say this as my dad had a 1987 Mercury Sable wagon that he wised would catch fire. Bought it new, and in three years, it left him stranded 5 times, and went into the shop at least 15 times unscheduled. What a piece of junk!
