5. The only crew cab Cummins are the 2003 Dodges,
The official term for the '03 & newer Dodge big cabs are: Jockey Cab. Anyone larger than a horse jockey have a hard time staying comfortable in the rear seat.

Re:Duramax Mileage Towing ... Low

Family and friends find the rear seat much more comfortable than either of the Taurus sedans that we have. I think that the 99 or 93 Taurus rear seat has more advertised leg room than the Dodge quad cab, but I'm guessing that the extra hip room also makes for more unadvertised leg room as one can sit other than straight ahead, also in part due to the bench seat. For us this has been impressive as we have two Taurus sedans because they were the most affordable vehicle for carrying six people, something that the common alternatives like a Camry or Accord couldn't do. Due to some good deals each Taurus also cost about $13k, which was a lot less than other alternatives.

As mentioned in other threads we've had nine in the truck; two adults up front with a kid in the middle, two adults in the back with two kids double buckled, and two kids in the seats in the bed. We also had some camping gear that we didn't want to leave at the site, three coolers, half a dozen bags of groceries, and had some room to spare :^)

Have you tried the rear seat in a Ford or GM extended cab? Dodge wins hands down and Dodge never marketed the quad cab as a "crewcab".

its not a crewcab

In this day and age there aren't too many vehicles with back seats as big as a "real" crewcab. Compared to most cars, as mentioned, the Dodge has plenty of room.

Re:Duramax Mileage Towing ... Low

I looked at the differences between the rear seat in the Taurus and the truck and noticed that the truck seat sits up higher from the floor than on the car. To compare leg room I guess one needs to compare leg area, consisting of seat height by standard leg room. With a seat high enough you just need shoe room :^)

Bummer to be them. I get 22 empty with Edge/Attitude, and loaded with 25 ft corn pro flat, The worst I have seen is 17. That was heavily loaded. Mine does have 5,000 miles on it now.

Hey Jared, when did you get your g/n hitch put in? 3 weeks ago that bed was still new and shiny with no holes in it.
