Is there any dents in it? if it is not really bad then I would use it. Have used them on big trucks before with small dents and did not hurt a thing. But if it really bothers you then discard it.

My Mom always says 'When in doubt, throw it out!'. :-) 'Course, she's referring to foodstuffs, but as mentioned above, if it is a source of worry, you might do just that. I know I'd feel better NOT worrying about it...when I was hauling RV trailers nationwide and clocking 3,000mi + per week, I'd be changing oil every 10 days or so. After one change(where I was unable to see them actually pour in the Rotella-T oil, I thought my oil pressure was weak and the motor seemed to 'rattle' a bit more. !! So, just 2 days later(and only about 20mi due to not leaving town) I had the same Jiffy Lube change it AGAIN and this time watched them pour in the Rotella-T. I know, I know, but I was only using Jiffy Lube() because; A: They were only charging me $1/qt more for the additional 7qts above the $19.99 early-bird special(meaning they were doing the oil/filter/lube for only $28.00 each time! They have since upped the base cost to $59.00 for trucks/RV's); B: I didn't have to go out and buy/drag home the oil & filter; C: I didn't have to get under there and do it; D: I didn't have to dispose of the waste oil/filter, and E: (easily the best reason...) They refilled my washer fluid and vacuumed out the floor along with!! Anyways, even though the service guy asked why would I want to change again it after only 2 days, and I told him 'peace of mind', he just shrugged his shoulders and said 'Whatever.' Point being, I never did worry about the oil after that, and was glad to see my pressure back to normal and no strange noises!! I admit the oil change could have been perfectly good, and I only THOUGHT it MAY have been bad...but eliminating the WORRY in my (admittedly)weird little brain was worth far more than the cost of another oil change, right? Dang...I just re-read all this...I coulda just said 'Better not use it if you might worry about it' and been done, eh? But then...that just wouldn't be me... Cheers!!
