I agree! Current Dodge trucks aren't really known for their transmissions so they should put a real nice one in there and give everyone something to talk about.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------Guys there already in the dodge. Go to your Coachman travel trailer dealer. Look at his small motor homes. Not sure what size chassy but appears to me about 1 ton ,has duals, and a dodge cab, with Mercedes Benz Diesel badge right on the front fender. So maybe thats where there putting these M B motors. And somebody better learn to fix them , so if there a dodge truck the dodge dealers gotta start getting updated here.

Unfortunately, since I work for Freightliner, I have the privelidge to work on the Dodge & Freightliner Sprinters quite frequently. What you are reffering to is the Sprinter cab/chassis model with a motorhome body.

Wrong, Detroit doesn't even compare to Cummins in emissions, actually no one is really even close and Cat was just told no on their Acert patent. Cummins is the Heavy Diesel engine supplier for Dodge till' 2010 or 2011. dodge is only 12% of Cummins engines (450,000) units per year. Dodge is the one who needs Cummins most.
And you can get Fords w/5.9 or 8.3's. And detroits don't dyno to 1000lbs on EGR either, not at 330 horses.

That's what I was thinking and I don't consider them a Dodge.

Dodge Dealerships don't want these things back as a trade in, was even told that by Sales Manager at a large Dodge Dealership here in the Metroplex.(Looked at a couple of Sprinters) There are way more Used Dodges on Chevrolet and Ford Dealership lots than vice versa.

Wonder why..............................

Ever tried to sell a Dodge Ram yourself?

People just DO NOT want a used Dodge, much less a new one. Ever compared the Used values of Fords, Chevys, and Dodges??

Could trade it in for a loss, but I'm just using it as a work truck, so why bother.

I have never never never taken a loss on a Chevrolet ie: selling it myself or trading one in. I'm usually smarter than this when purchasing vehicles, guess I was blindsided with the "Take Life By The Horns" Bullspit when I bought this one.

Like I've said before, I'll get my wasted monies worth out of this piece of spit and then never look back.

.................and that day won't come soon enough.
Odd I just purchased mine...had a hell of a time finding one used with less than 300k...seems everyone here wants 'em and the dealers are getting top dollar...maybe you'd be better off to check out selling it back east!!!

Then maybe you can help me out!!

Let the dealerships in your area know about this one!!

Hell, I put it up for sale here for 60 days at a price LOWER than what all the websites (KBB-NADA-Edmunds-etc) said it was worth. I figured since this place has some 22,000 plus members from all over the country(back east included) that I'd get at least a couple of inquires. I mean, they tell 2 friends about it, those 2 friends tell 2 friends, etc, and maybe word would get out to 100,000 people or more.

What came about of my ad???

Nothing - - - Zip - - - Zilch.................................

I will pay anyone here a $1,000 Finders Fee if they can find me a buyer. My word is golden..............

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, to stay on topic..........................

Mercedes in a Dodge??

I heard this rumor some 2 years ago. It may not be a rumor much longer. Huh?

Do I care?

Nope......................................

Not when it comes to the "Dodge Ram".

And I have very valid reasons why.

No wonder you can't sell it, who wants a 2wheel drive, reg cab SLT. A completely useless truck where I live no matter what badge it has on it.
