Diesel Secret, new way to make fuel?

Has anyone heard of this my dad said he heard on the radio that there is a new company for making fuel like Bio? So I looked on line www.dieselsecret.com and it looks kinda wierd.
All you do is filter cooking oil and then add their additive and thats it. I thought that you had to heat it like Bio does and the thing you hook up to your truck.
Has any one had any experience with it I ordered a beginers thing for like a hundred bucks. I'll try any thing at 3.79 a gallon here in Texas.

General rule of thumb:
If it's advertised as "secret" then rest assured it really isn't.

the consensus from the veggie boards is.. no.
you can dilute veggie with solvents to make it thinner, but you still risk putting a solvent in there that will pre-ignite and cause problems.
Youre trying to emulate diesel.. its viscosity, its flash point, its lubricity. not easy. diesel secret uses gasoline as one component in the mixture. ugh.

All I can say is the prices we are paying for fuel is ridiculous. I don't care how you vote... just vote! These fuel prices are crippling the working Americans. I didn't mean to hijack.....it's just that I put 80 bucks in the tank today and got less than 20 gallons! That's absurd! The only secret to better mileage is getting this nation back on track! Mileage is what it is...... it's the cost of fuel that's got to fluctuate.

I used it, it worked fine. I never used it in the new truck though. The only thing I noticed was harder cold starts. We filtered really well though. There directions are a little lame IIRC.

Waste of money. Use it if you plan on trading in your truck every 20,000 miles.

"So forget it, stuck paying 3.79 that sucks." Well, at least you'll have the $100 to buy 26 gallons of diesel!

Oh no I went ahead and ordered it. I will not put it in my truck yet but what do you think if I try a batch and run it in a diesel generator for a couple of weeks to see if it harms the generator. Good idea or not?

So adding snake oil to cooking oil will make diesel? Does it matter what kind of snake the oil comes from?

I have a friend with a Duramax who has been running Mcdonald's waste oil for about 2 years. He installed a kit with a heated fuel line and a switchover valve. He starts it on regular diesel and then switches over. It works but he has had to replace one set of injectors. There goes all your savings.
