Diesel Prices in CA (article)
Diesel Prices in CA (article)
Monday [8-8] L.A. Times (Business Section) has article on high
diesel prices in CA.
An exec says, " there was TOO MUCH diesel in CA in June,
so 21 MILLION gallons shipped to Chile and Mexico by
three companies. Two of the three shipped low sulfur
fuel which could have been used in CA".
[The 21 MILLION gallons may NOT have been the total, as they
were talking about two of the 3 shipments (exports) that could
have been used here (in CA). The 3rd was not low sulfur.]
[Then]: "On July 20, a fire erupted at Chevron Corp.'s El Segundo
facility, one of the West's largest refineries and a big producer of diesel.
Chevron slashed production and shut down some equipment for
repairs that are expected to last another week."
