Diesel Kleen on sale at Kragen

For those of you near a Kragen / Checkers / Shucks auto parts store, they have Diesel Kleen on sale for $4.99, usually $7.49. I picked up 4 (coupon limit) tonight and will probably pick up 4 or 8 more tomorrow.

I have no association with Kragens. Just thought it was an awesome price and some of you might want to save some $$$.

It increases Cetane, MPG, cleans injectors, decreases pour point and lubes the injection parts (important for us 1st Gen guys).

I think it definitely helps my mileage, I didn't run it for a whole tank, and I swear my mileage was a lot worse. Usually get mid 600's on a tank, this time I got 580.

two of the main ingredients of Diesel Kleen are acetone and xylene, both are strong solvents. adding acetone will help your mileage, but at the cost of eliminating the lubricating film on the components of your fuel system. if you believe that adding products containing alcohol to your fuel might not be the best thing for your injectors and injector pump, adding solvents like these and petroleum naptha is pretty much the same. i run them only if i think i have carbon built up on my injectors or have an injector sticking. there are products from Howes and Lucas that are solvent free- just my .02

if i remember

if i remember right you can get a gallon at walmart for like $10 to $15...

I have noticed that if i run either the grey or the white my truck runs a little quieter. It doesn't seem to be as "clunky"
