Down here in Florida, South of I-10, Diesel is bad expensive. Its running from 1.49 at most places to 1.54 on some of the beach areas to 1.78 in Key West. So if your headed to Key West tank up in Florida City and save a little anyway. Flying J is the cheapest on the hwy down here. <br><br>I'm getting ready to visit my Daughter in Harvard Mass next week. She and her husband both work for Wal-Mart and were transfered up there from West Palm Beach, Fl. Anyway, I checked the Flying J web site for prices outside of Florida. Averaged out, it looks like 1.24 average up the east coast with Flying J, and 1.35 in Maryland. Got my fuel stops figured out already. <br><br>Bad cold up there. The heated seats will get a workout up there.<br><br>Last year during the winter months, our diesel prices were high also. I found out that we were helping subsidize the price of <br>heating oil for the Northeast by keeping our prices up. That may have happened in other places as well. We don't have a State Tax here either, and the counties and state pile on the taxes for fuel. We pay between .45 to .54 cents per gallon on Diesel between the state and counties combined. <br><br>Dave <br>

 

Still 1.319 in the Birmingham area. Just got a tank in Pelham, AL that makes the truck run like junk. It was BP.

Unfortunately in western Ohio the price seems locked at $1.49 right now :'(<br><br>And where I'm at right now, Wal Mart is the only place that sells diesel. I avoided it last night hoping that it might come down, but Diesel prices at Wal Mart rarely change.<br><br>What a horrible time for our Citgo truckstop to shut down :-[
