yes, I do. GM thinks so too, and they are the ones that designed it.

see thats what I was getting at, a lift was not even an option..........and it would have been way too much money to retool the floor and frame design.

can you blame GM for not going throuh the effort? Im just confused because your posts sound like you cant understand at all why GM wouldnt go thru the effort to make it work...

maybe in a few years, a dmax suburban, but not anytime soon.

Interesting, when I was shopping for my truck I drove a chebby 1500 HD gasser crew cab just for the fun of it. I asked the salesman (seemed knowlegeable for a change) "why the HD?" He said all GM 2500 and 3500 trucks had a body lift to accommodate the Allison tranny, and that a 1500 HD was really a 2500 without the body lift. It needed the 3/4 ton axles and springs to carry 5 people and an acceptable amount of cargo. There was a 2500 parked next to it, and sure enough they had the same number of leaf springs and same sized brakes and rear end. The 1500 HD's body just sat lower.

So based on that account, yes, a D-Max 'Burb would need the body lift to fit the Allison.
