Question Cummins to Chev 1 Ton Conversion

Hey everyone,
My dad recently purchased a 1994 chev 1 ton 4wd, with an 4L80 automatic. It has recently been getting extremely bad fuel mileage (8-10mpg) so now he was thinking of putting a cummins into it. I was just wondering where I would find an adapter to connect the cummins to the tranny. Also, how hard is the wiring to hook up, and how easy will the motor fit into the engine compartment. If anyone has tried this could you please give us some tips. Thanks Alot!

Check out http://www.fordcummins.com I think they're doing chevy's now, as well, and offer conversion kits.

There was a guy on the diesel pages that had a chevy swapped over to the Cummins. I think you need to go to a solid front axle also to handle all the weight.
