Has anyone heard of this product by Ratso's Fab Shop? Trying to turn up a 3406E 475 without going through Cat(They will only re-flash according to tranny i.d. tag).

 

If you over torque yoiur drive line, you are asking for big $$$$$$ trouble!

Its not actually my truck and this particular truck has a heavy duty driveline. This particular guy knows how to govern his right foot. He had a 3406B 425 turn up to 525 RWHP and never hurt anything and got better fuel mileage in the process. I know, how did he crank it that much and get better mileage? His truck didnt stay on the side of a hill near as long as most

 

Don't let Caterpillar catch you with any sort of aftermarket electronics! We got an e-mail at work telling us that if we found any sort of aftermarket electronics on cat engines , that we were to notify the local cat dealer , who would take it from there, apparently due to the EPA it is illegal to perform such modifications.

However , hooking up our laptop and fiddling with the ECM is not against the rules.

 

JKM, I havent heard it was illegal. I will pass that info along. Cat will never see this truck anyway. Funny how the EPA is all into vehicle emissions but pumped the toxic waste out of New Orleans and into the gulf.
