Just finished a run from St. Petersburg, FL to Lansing, MI and back. Cheapest was $1.97 and the highest was $2.28. I only stopped at 'Pilot' or 'Flying J' stations on the I-75 corridor. They appear to be at least .10 cents per gallon cheaper than stations within the same vacinity. From now on those will be the only places I buy fuel!!!

Yup, Flying J is usually the cheapest around, but I have to go REALLY FAR out of my way to hit one. Last fillup for me (almost two weeks ago) was $2.349, while regular 87 was about $2.179 maybe?

Either way, diesel needs to drop back to below $2!

Lewiston Idaho is 2.179 at Flying J... Really good price for Idaho...

But you go over in to Washington the price jumpped back up to $2.659 ouch!!!

No wonder there are so many Washington plates over here in Idaho getting fuel!

diesel- 2.15 reg-1.89

I thought diesel was supposed to go down in the warmer months.. I bought my truck last May, and the price of diesel has risen since the day I drove it off the lot.. So much for that theory. These oil companies are in bed with our Govt ( which explains the record profits).. They both know whats going on.. Shortage of fuel my azz, when was the last time a station anywhere had to close because they couldn't get fuel?? New ones open everyday.

I would like to know why it has gone up so much especially being more expensive than gas.

Diesel is basically a byproduct of making gas. It does not need the refining that gas does. It is not as volitle ( I think its spelled right) as gas. You can not make gas without having made some deisel during the process. So why the H-E-*-* does it cost more than gas. And what made it get more expensive than gas as just a couple of years ago ( if that long) it was about .50 cheaper than gas.
