I've got a cell phone and know some phone numbers to wrecker operators.....lift pumps can go out on 12v's as well, as do other things. If it happens, it happens....

12v don t break, just the drivetrains bolted to them.

I wasn't saying the 12v was bad (I have one) just that they aren't indestructible.
