87 int. dt466 engine probs

i got an 87 international s1600 dt466 and i cant get it started...i was crankin it over and all of a sudden it stopped cranking....i have full juice ....i thought it was the starter but i whacked on that with a hammer for a bit thinking the starter was stuck but to no avail....any suggestions?

Check the signal wire (small one) to solenoid to see if it is getting 12V. If not look for an ignition relay. I would believe that the relay took a dump since it stopped all of a sudden. Should be a standard T-85 unit, probalby in the fuse panel.

i got the clicking noise when it is on run but when i try to start it the clicking stops...

where would the relay be located and where is the solenoid located??sorry..these things are kinda greek to me

Sounds like you could have a failed battery, they can puke all at once. I would first find the fuse panel, probably under the dash on right hand side or in left kick panel. If the relay was OK, swap with another to test that theory. Then I would load test batteries, if all good, then go to the starter, there is a small round tube on top of it that looks to be about the size of a V8 juice can. There should be a small wire running to it, about half the size of a pencil. Take a test light or a multi meter and see if it has 12 volts while key is in start position.
