Have the forklift rotate 90 degrees when full so that you don't have a front end as wide as a log.

So my idea now is a forklift with a crane and a Cummins.
Sounds like a good idea. I worked in a small job shop that had like a 1950's model dusenburg(?) (that's what we called it never heard of them though) 2 ton truck chasis. It had dual rear wheels and and hydrallics setup with forks over the rear axle that we used for various jobs mostly though unloading steel off flatbed trucks. Nothing fancy just a chasis with forks a seat, steering wheel, gear shifter, and lift controls. It had the original engine and drivetrain but the way it was rigged up, hydrallic assisted steering and all, you could rotate the seat 180 degees be facing frontwards and drive that sucker around the surrounding farm a lot quicker than just having the option of reverse everywhere or worse looking over your shoulder and high tailing it around So your idea with a 360 degree rotating seat and hydrallic steering setup would be the thing.

I also put up hay with it plow my tobacco ground, feed cattle etc... with it. Just my .02
