Walmart had it at $12 on the shelf..

Local W-M doesn't carry it at the present and 3 truck stops I checked it was $16.xx to $18.xx for the 2.5 gal jugs. Nearest truck stop is 5 miles and Wal-Mart is 30 miles, so most of my buying is done via internet due to distances involved. I doubt finding it for much less then $5 a gallon will be easy, if not impossible in a few years.

Flying J truck stops have it right at the Fuel Pumps for like $2.79 a gallon. You don't have to buy the jugs of it!

Here's a list of the Flying J's in MO:

I'm about 100 miles from nearest F-J and nearest interstate highway is at least about 75 miles. I live in the sticks on 10 acres in 3br modern home with septic tank and 285 deep well, and a Hardy wood furnace. Wild life abounds, we have deer, black bear, turkey, coyote, bobcat, and a few mountain lions and elk around. But hey thanks for the info, it'll be handy on my next road trip.....last one was about 4 years ago and didn't pass any F-J's then even.

Also the two Pilot fuel centers I know of don't sell diesel.

Pilot has bought up every little ma and pop place hey can get their grubby little hands on in the last 10 years. I wonder how big they have to get before someone steps up and says "enough".

I've had 3 guys tell me they were refused DEF at the pump because no DOT number. One guy said it about a truck center I will be near next month, he has a new Dodge 1 ton with Cummins that he uses on the ranch to haul cattle and horses. Has anyone run into that here?

rossn2 did the nozzle work or did you need the tranny funnel to get past the flap?

My dealership gives first oil change for free, so the normal $135 oil change was free. They have been doing that for years now, and this was my 3rd freebie.

Yes, nozzle fit directly into the DEF tank opening. I didn't have any issues at the station. Walked in, handed my credit card to the lady and said I'm getting DEF and Diesel and told her what pump I was on..

Wonder if the refusal was just lack of knowledge or just a MO thing?

Is DEF subject to road tax as well?

Waldo, still loving your truck? Still getting the kind of mileage you did at the start?

Hate to say it, but I really could live with a 1/2 ton, and the kind of mileage you were reporting puts me square into the game.........

I don't think it's subject to road tax or they wouldn't be selling it in parts stores.

Yes I still love the truck as for as comfort and use. Yes there is nothing like cruising along getting about double what a gasser would get for MPG's.
