I was in N.C. for Labor day weekend and was driving by a Dodge dealership, just looking around. And saw 3 Dodge Duallies sitting around back, so I went to look at them and thought they were 06's till I saw the badge on the side and the tail lights. I looked at the sticker in the window and they 07's with the 5.9, the doors were left unlocked so I popped the hood and sure enough they were 5.9's. Now, I thought the 07's were coming out with the 6.7 if I am not mistaken??? Could some one give me some insight?

 

Only the chassis cab is coming with the 6.7l. In other words, if you order an 07 without a bed, it'll have the 6.7. Rumor has it 07.5 will have 6.7 in all CTD Rams.

 

It's not a rumor. There will be a mid-year engine and auto transmission change. The 6.7 will be rated for 350hp and 650 lb-ft when mated to an all new 6 speed(68RFE not the Aisin that will be in the chassis cab). The current G56 will remain resulting in derated power numbers in the manual transmission trucks.

 

Newbie here, just purchased and 07 last Monday after looking for an 06 for almost a month. Everything seems the same as an 06 except for the emblems and the tail lights. Drove a 98 12 valve for 200K and knew I would go Dodge again. Wanted the 5.9 as I knew I could still deal on one before the 6.7 came out. Jake Brake goes on this Monday. Only have 600 miles on it and really love it. Wife likes it too!

 

Yea an 07 to get on the board. The admission price is a little high these days!

Good thing about the mid year change. I would hate to have to but a bed later on to get the 6.7L

what is the difference in emblems? ive searched, but cant find pictures!!

 

They're using the same door emblems that the chassis cab uses...
