Lubricity/sulfur of heating oil?

Say one were to make some sort of "contraption" that used a Cummins ISB with a VP44 for home heating purposes . What kinda properties does heating/fuel oil have and how would the VP44 handle it? In all my research the only thing I've found is that BTU's is pretty similar. Also, what about the sulfur content?

I'd hate to have run diesel to "heat" my home to keep my VP44 happy.

I can't imagine it's refined the same as ULSD though, with almost none of the same regulations. Right?

At least one of the suppliers in this area add the die when they sell the oil. I have been told that all diesel and heating oil is ULSD, the cost of extra tanks and trucks to haul and keep the two seperate are cost prohibitive.
