Getting started on biodiesel...?
So i am just looking into putting a filtration system together for used cooking oil and have no idea where to start. what is involved and do you have to spend like $1000-$2000 on a system or is there a way to just buy the filters and let gravety do the work......?
like i said, jsut getting started and no idea what im doing. and advice or direction to a site that has good reading on the subject would be appreacited. -Bradley Allen [guitar] |
Running an engine on filtered veggie oil is not running an engine on biodiesel. Biodiesel, essentially, is veg oil with the glycerine molecule stripped out using an alcohol and a base in fairly precise amounts to create "fatty acid methyl ester", aka biodiesel.
Here are a couple links that taught me some stuff: http://www.biodieseldiscussion.com/ http://www.biodieselnow.com BTW, biodiesel rules! |
