I can't tell ya how much is left in your tank but in my 92 it's 5 gal.
Hey take that thing to a Cummins shop. I bet they can figure it out in no time. It's at least worth a try. Had a friend of mine go through power problems in a new truck and when the day was done they gave him a new truck. Cummins said they could probably have fixed the problem in a couple of hours.

good luck

115.4 Liters = 30.49 gallons
115.6 Liters = 30.54 gallons

Divide by 3.785

How do you know those mileage figures are accurate? Did you work from the odometer or from a known actual distance? Did you change anything such as the size of the tires? (Yes, I know you said it was stock)

See if ya can get some 33's one there next tire replacement. They will bring that 410 down a bit and maybe a bit better milage.

I think the thing that helped the most was the pump mods.

Yesterday I had 502 miles and 30 gallons= 16.7 miles per gallon. I have ran from completely full to empty for the past dozen or so tankfulls consecutively and my best mpg has been 17.1. I have been driving incredibly conservatively to normal. Soooooo, how do I change my calculations so I am getting 20 or more mpg like everyone else or am I the only honest one? I dont want to hear any "change your fuel filter", "check gauges" etc jive talk either. The truck runs fine and is maintained fine. I want to see some complete tankful, hand calculated runs.
I figure I have done just about everything I can think of to boost my mileage. The exception is probably IF a box like the Smarty TRUELY can help, but since I have kicked out the money for the Ramifier, am happy with it, I am not inclined to purchase another unit unless I KNOW there will be a substantial payback, plus it is my understanding that there is not one for the CR engines yet.
The fact that it is an automatic, 3rd. Gen, and 4X4 is all working against me. I am full synthetic, did the tone ring mod, should be pretty well broken in, I can tell when I am sincerely trying. To answer your question, the farthest I remember going on one tank was 640 miles before stopping. On my most serious effort, I truely believe I could have gone 700 miles (34 gal. tank with the vent kit mod), but it was pretty painful to be that good for 306 miles (needle was straight on top of the 3/4 mark), and now that I hear that low fuel levels can kill pumps, I probably will give up on my dream of seeing 700 miles before pulling in, unless I do it in stints or something. which brings up a question: Any guesses on how fast the fuel heats up from being pumped? Let's say it is a 70 deg. F day, I am driving steady on the hwy, and there are 5 gal. left in the tank?

Ramtd02.......
I notice you are in Canada. Are you POSITIVE we are talking U.S Gallons and MILES? Something doesn't sound right for a 4X4 06.
Also, I thought the Longbox tank was rated at 35 U.S Gallons. Even allowing for a couple more to fill the neck, if you run it bone-dry, you still come up with 37. The fact that it takes 10 minutes tells me (along with your statement that the truck is stock) that you have not done the fuel breather mod. What am I missing?

hey, first post, i just thiught i would chime in on the milage thing. 96 2wd, auto trans, i usually drive it like a bat out of hell, fill up once a week at around 450 miles on trip odometer. i average 18 miles a gallon or better, up to 22 mpg at slow speeds. don't say i don't know how to figure fuel milage, as i am an over the road truck driver, and i keep a close eye on fuel consumption, so i am assured my fuel bonus.
