Thumbs down $100+ to fill up!

Just filled up the truck.. $3.24 a gallon.. Cost me nearly $105!
Cheapest in town, others are as high as $3.49. Gas remains at $2.59.

I put on ~400 miles per week.. Looks like I need to change my ways or I'll end up broke and on the street

This is getting ridiculous with nearly a dollar spread between gas & diesel..

I got stuck in between Austin and Houston the other night. Chevron $3.469 and $101 to fill up. Last time I paid over $100 was many years ago, filled up the 1 ton GMC 2-20 gallon saddle tanks, 60 gallon aux tank in the bed and boat 2-20 gallon saddle tanks. I can't remember for sure, but I think was around 125 gallons and $132. Dam its hell getting old.

The Energy Information Administration said supplies of distillates -- which include diesel fuel and heating oil -- fell 1.6 million barrels for the week ending October 21. Analysts had predicted a drop of 800,000 barrels, according to Reuters.

Heating oil alone fell by 900,000 barrels to 55 million barrels. Despite the fall, stocks were over 4 million barrels higher than this time last year.

Some stations around here have regular unleaded for $1.999 now.

At least my wife is happy filling up the Magnum.

The JERK oil companies have figured out that we love our diesels, and are going to make us pay for it!

Figure this: (hyphthetical)
Diesel = $3.00 Gas = $2.00

Diesel gets 20 mpg
Gasser with near equivelent pulling power gets 10 mpg

Diesel 35 gal tank = $105 fill up and 700 miles
Gas 35 gal tank = $70 fill up and 350 miles

We're still better off, but they'll probably raise diesel prices until we're equivelent to gassers. , but I'm still .

Did you see the word "hypothetical"?

On the other hand, if I drive mine right, I get almost 20 mpg.

Last time I "filled up" (low fuel light was on, ended up putting in 27 or so gallons), the pay-at-the-pump cut me off at $75 bucks.
Had to finish that transaction, reswipe the card, and put in another 12 bucks worth.

This was about a month ago, when fuel was .15 cents cheaper.

I haven't let it get much below 1/2 tank since.

Try filling up a 275 hp tractor that burns 150 gallons a day and see how you feel.
Even with tax-free fuel it hurts. Can't raise the price of farm products to compensate, the middlemen who supply America's supermarkets will just buy foreign.
It's a no win situation.

Anymore when the pump cuts me off at $75 I just hang the nozzle up. No since in wasting the money. Put as little money in their pockets as I can.
