1915 - At the Second Battle Ypres the Germans became the first country to use poison gas.

1944 - During World War II, the Allies launched a major attack against the Japanese in Hollandia, New Guinea.

1952 - An atomic test conducted in Nevada was the first nuclear explosion shown on live network television.

1970 - The first "Earth Day" was observed by millions of Americans.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
A synonym is a word you use in place of one you can’t spell.

WOW! I didn't even have to open the door to find out why. That smells worse than a cat box.
Speaking of cats, we got a replacement finally. Or should I say she got us.
Morning all, looks to be another fine day in the making.

Mornin.

Me and JB still having a good weekend. Ate a huge meal last night, so good we just sat there and moaned while we were eating it.

Fall off the bone bbq ribs, fried zucchini, milk sauteed squash, and ranch twice baked potatoes. Homemade strawberry ice cream for dessert.

I think I'm still full. We were lethargic after.

Gonna go skin JB's head, then pack him up with some goodies and send him on his way.

Let's have a good week out there, people. Be safe.

The first piece was good, but the second piece with homemade strawberry icecream on top... (didn't have any heavy cream to make homemade whipped cream)... smack smack smack...

Afternoon all.

Spent the day installing LED warning lights on the Escape trailer, dressin' it up a bit. Whelen is our newest sponsor and they gave us about $800 worth of LINZ6 style lights. I haven't messed with emergency lighting since I was refurbishing fire trucks before I left Massachusetts. It's amazing what they're doing with LED technology now. These things are brighter than strobes and all self-contained, no remote power supply or controls needed. They have 69 different flash patterns all by applying intermittent power to one lead for 2 seconds. And the heads have 2 colors all built in. I'm amazed.

Scott, I'm looking at some different applications for LED's Have you come across anything for driving lights that you can change the LED color spectrum instead of the lens cover color? I have seen this kind of application for staging and concerts but not for automotive. I think it would work well for flood, fog and rain with a swtich in the cab to select the color you want.

Also would like some high output bars...two for loading at the back and some out front, down low. If you have ideas or links, please post.

Thanks from the other, more furred and happy Scott.

It's been so long since I've been into this stuff that I didn't even know LED's could change color! I'll be talking to the Whelen rep this week so I'll ask if he knows anything.

Truth hurts sometimes!

LED's are something else. No power to speak of to run them, no heat, lasts forever, super bright.

Hair cut, cammies ironed, everything is done for the day that I NEED to get done.

Updates to follow.
