dakota swap
Of course banks did it with a late model (late 90's, 2nd gen style) Dakota with the sidewinder. Stuffing a 6 cyl in there takes a lot more work then a 4 cyl. There just isn't enough room without making modifications to firewall/floorpan and crossmember. I have a 96 Dakota (squared off front) 2wd that currently has a v6, when that motor gets tired I plan on stuffing either a 3.3 or preferably a 3.9 B series in there, next year or two. I started taking measurements, and it's a tight fit even with a 4 cyl. I think it would be really fun though, the truck gets around pretty good with just the 3.9 V6, a turned up 4bt would be a lot of fun.
