Common Rail for a Good Deal.

I am trying to find a good deal on a common rail motor for my upcomming conversion. Just like 5.9Excursion, I also have a 2000 Ford Excursion that is going to get a new heart. It has a V10 right now and I am starting to round up parts. I will not start the tear down untill I have it all together so if anyone has any good leads on where to find a good motor please chime in. Thanks.

Cool finding a CTD

Have you tried www.diesel engine trader.com ? They list Cummins diesel engines from 3 cylinder on up. I have not bought from them but they are like a clearing house for diesel engines in the US and UK and the Netherlands as well as other countries.
Maybe you can find something there. Let me know. I have my eye on a Philadelphia company that has 4btaa's and if they have one when I am ready will drive up north to check it out.
Another site is government liquidators.com in your search put Cummins in manufacturer.
Will you look for new or used?
Good luck! God's and cummins speed !

I actually just bought one tonight. It's an 04.5 and I need to pull the head and see what needs to be done. It was all complete and i got it for $1500. I think it will be a good one.
