87 chev western hauler cummins
i bought this truck tonight, mainly for the flat bed on it and to part the rest out.. after doing some research it is actually a pretty rare truck in pretty good shape so the cogs have been turning in my head.. i have a 94 12v and i can get my hands on a 2wd tranny but i cant find any info on chevy 2wd swaps.. are they possible without hacking the truck up too bad?
i found some pictures of one with a 12v so i know its possible. i may have the 454 sold tomorow so when it goes i guess i will get started.. i also lined up a 2wd 47rh for a tranny so everything seems to be falling into place..
i think i will make it all myself, i have done alot of fab work in my day and alot of motor swaps.. the only thing i was looking for before i sold the 454 and made the truck worthless is that it was definately doable.. i think a cummins will make the truck more valuable and much more practicle.. the 454 burnt half a tank so far and i might have put 50km on it, not to mention my cummins has more power towing my 33' 5er than this has empty
i cant wait to get going on this, i will take lots of pics..

This guy is a 4btswaps vendor. He offers hydraulic clutch parts and can offer advice on intercoolers. etc. In addition, he is a Cummins dealer and can rebuild injectors to stock or higher.
