How much does that 6.leaker weigh you think? it doesnt look like your engine hoist was having much stress and from the picture It looks like it was out on the 1/2ton slot.

Im about to start a swap here soon im my 99 cclb 6spd that I just bought.

Are you going to use the destroked engine mounts also?

Good Lord look at that rat's nest of hoses and wires. No wonder the 6.NO is a boat anchor. I bet it'll be really nice to have the 5R110 auto behind the Cummins though. From what I hear, that's a pretty decent trannie.

On another note, how much did you have to give for the Ford? I've been considering doing this very thing since I could really use a 4-door. What do you think the conversion parts are going to cost?

Well, that's the only way I'd put a Powerstrole in a 1st gen. LOL

the long rubber cover is the lifter valley cover, it should be tight because there is a lot of oil behind it during operation.. if that's what you were talking about.

Wow its been a while since I posted. I got the engine in. The tranny had to be moved back about 2 in but fortunately ford had bolt holes already drilled so the crossmember bolted right up. I still got to figure out the fuel lines. Auto World/destroked kit comes with a altenator kit to use the ford altenator.

this could be a problem, the turbo exh side is right against the plastic ford air box, any ideas? I heard you can flip the manifold for more clearance

well i figured out the throttle cable both the 1 gen and the ford gasser cable was way to long. I wanted the factory look so i cut them both in 2. I wanted it to hook up factory on the firewall and on the cummins. i guess ill just put a split shot at the end of the cable for the gas pedal? im just going to heat shrink and electrical tape the joint.

Since the motor is in I had to put the emblems on. I got carried away and tried to rip the powerstoke emblem off to fast on the pass side
