I don't bumper hook anymore, I'm sure you understood the differences when you purchased yours. Now, the general public on the other hand...The K31 is not cutting edge technology like some companies make it out to be, there are more options depending on the circumstances.

Don please explain yourself on more options depending on circumstances.
I've out grown this little htt66/71/16ss and depends if I pull with this one group like kman may keep it. If not I am so close to wanting to buy a A5K I can almost taste it. Talked to HTT about upgrading mine to their new 70/71/16ss but said they couldn't do it. Then Dave at Htt told me that it flows 1300cfm which is what a A5K flows with a billit compressor, but started loosing interest when he said it was still a S300 based turbo and was $3000.

blowinsmoke with ur mods you'll be most likely on top of the 2.6 class. Now if you go to the 3.0 class there is not gonna be many trucks in it. Some of the guys in the 3.0 class are pushing 900hp but this year is gonna be mostly be running the 2.4 and 2.6 class everywhere. If I were you I would keep the 66mm for the sanctioned pulls and get the A5k for the brush pulls.

Decide what class you want to compete in first, that will narrow down the options quickly.

Justin, what company did you have problems with S300 wise and what failed?

Rather not say on the company. If you did some searching you will find the answer. They did replace it for no cost so I can't really complain too much. I don't hold any certain company to blame since they all basically use Borg Warner parts. Thrust failed.

A while back S300's seemed to be failing about one a week around here on this board. I can imagine the amount that don't get reported do to feelings or lost pride.

If the proper bearing pads are used on higher pressure ratio applications there are rarely issues, I am leaning toward this being suspect.
