who's going to the glen rose pull this weekend? and will they let trucks pull?

 

I called the number listed for Glen Rose and was given Gary Henderson's number. He appears to be heading the pulls. He told me Tuesday night that they *might* pull some diesel tractors but will *not* pull diesel trucks because of lack of ventilation indoors. Gassers might get to run.

I also called the number listed for the Johnson County Settlers Reunion and was told that they will not pull trucks either. They were going to be using some sort of old sled.

Gary said that West (near Waco) is going to pull diesels in mid March.

 

Thanks for calling... I didn't know which location they were going to use until last week.. (inside or out.) Just the tractors (gassers) really fume up the building..
I don't have any pulls for Gary's sled listed in the Waco area for March.. but I hope they have a few..
Mt. Calm (May 5th. .this will be the first time pulling at this location,
Leroy (May 19th) are only 10min east of Waco.. Hillsboro is close..
Hillsboro May 25-26...

 

I was told at the front desk that there is going to be an outdoor pull in Glen Rose the weekend after July 4th. Will try and find more information.

 

ok guys i talked to roxane today(the lady who is incharge of taking money and info down at the pulls) about renting the sled for a day, she told me to talk to gary so im going to try to call him tomorrow and ask about pricing and wen i could get a date set, weve got 2 dozers, water truk and lots of equipment, and 2 places i could make a track in the stephenville area, i was just wondering how many of yall would like to pull, i think i could get enough people around here too start classes. if enough people show up we could probaly do one pretty often, me and a buddy are building a truck and would love doing this for some practice, and trying different set ups, i got a buddy going to a local shop that he does lots of bussiness with, and is good friends with to talk with them about sponsoring it with some plaques, and probaly money if enogh people show

West, Mt. Calm, Leroy, and Hillsboro....won't have my clutch by then. Maybe next year around......

 

i bet you could get a bunch of college kids from Tarleton to go pull, and you would also get about 10 trucks from De Leon to pull, I know I'm down

There was just one pull they were not allowed to pull.. GlenRose is the only place I know of that they are pulling inside.. Too Much smoke for the building to clear out.. They didn't pull any turbo dieseled tractor either.. just Antique diesels.... Should be pulling trucks at all of the other HWH pulls..
