another option is to check the motel/hotels in Vincennes, IN... it's less than an hr south of Terre Haute. Might find some lower rates as well.

 

i dont even need a good spot, just a spot lol. its 20 bucks a night to camp there.

 

I thought it was a little more than a hour. But the Ramada is 54.95 a night. That is kinda hard to beat IMO cuz youre going to use diesel driving from Vincennes. Are you coming up?

 

It is right at an hour. I only live 5 minutes away from there. The thing is the descent motels there are just as much as in Terre Haute.

 

I'll be there along with a couple others of my buddies, saw some pretty good smoke shows on 465 last year.

 

i haven't been there but is there as much of a night life as the indy nationals? if not we need to make it that fun

 

I'll have the camera. It wasnt as much going on last year as the videos I have seen from Indy but that could easily change.

 

Is their a certin spot mabey all of us DTR members could meet up Sat. morning just thought it would be nice to meet up and see some of you folks ! Just a thought if it aint no good ignore it .

We have a suite at the Best Western and we will be spliting the room between three couples, it has 2 double beds and a queen sofabed and two showers for around $300 for three nights. Just a heads up to those that would like something like this to cut cost of rooms down abit.

The denny's is a good place with a decent parking lot behind it. Maybe 9am EST 8am CST we could all meet there for breakfast and BS. on Sat. morn

 

YOU DO REALIZE I WONT BE AWAKE AT THAT TIME!!!!! and alot of other people wont either. there is gonna be alot of beer to be drank the nite before, so thats maybe a little early. lol, i might be taking a camper out so if anything bad comes up and any of you aint got a place to stay, you will atleast have a spot on the floor or somewhere in my camper. i know what its like to have to sleep in a cold truck. 97' CTD where are you staying at? i might freight train out with you if none of my buddies go.

LOGAN what day you goin out, I work 2nd shift on Fri. I aint pullin out till SAT. morning 3:30-4:00ish in the A.M. I wish I could pull out thursday night but darn work, I have to work so much to get this baby ready P.S. I might stay SAT. night if I can get off sunday we might have to talk about the sleeping arrangement if this is the case thanks man!

I will be there and i will be shacked up at the Dury Inn. Its my second year of going out to this thing and i can't wait. I'm like a little kid going to disney world when it comes to going the diesel extravaganza! By the way if any of you guys use valvoline premium blue engine oil in your trucks you can bring your own jugs and they (scheid) will fill them. They sell the stuff bulk so you can get it cheaper than what it cost buying it from the auto parts store. Just thought you would like to know.

I still say 9 am EST 8 am CST time cuz the dyno stuf wil already be started and the pulling usually starts around 11 am. Take a nap in the afternoon LOGAN. lol
