Pulling Sled Question

This maybe a dumb question but I have always wondered exactly how much the pulling sleds weigh in the different truck classes ???

the weight box

can range from 6500 lbs in a street gasser to 8000 plus for a modified diesel... I believe the sled itself usually weighs between 30-40K depending on its size and legnth

Tx

ya i have heard the 40000 lb range on the sled and when you get to the end of the track and it hits it feels a hell of a lot heavier than that!

Jake, you are right on the weight for trucks, as far as I know....

40000 is a lot of weight to move when its all sitting on a steel plate off of the wheels...

For people that are not as familiar with how a truck/tractor pull works, here is some general information.
