A disappointing night at the county fair

Three of our youth group members were competing today in livestock judging, so our family went to support them, and then hung around the fair to watch the tractor and truck pulls. They had slightly modified tractors, stock diesel trucks, and modified trucks. Duramax's took the first 4 places, with two dodges in 6th and 7th. No doubt about it- the GM's had the power tonight. Both Dodges were stock, with one having a stack. Even a powerstroke came in ahead of the Mopar's!
Oh, well. I have to give it to the Max's- they had the power and traction. Can't take that away from them.

At our county fair a few weeks ago duramaxes won the stock and modified stock classes (at least I think those were the classes). The last class was for trucks on drugs and a cummins took first in that. Those Dmaxes make some crazy power!

RPM's are where the dmaxs shine. They can pull monster rpm and for pulling thats what you need.

I'll still stay with my lowly 6 cylinder for working and making money!!!

If you watch close enough as soon as the engine starts to bog, its game over. But it works and they get the prize.

I have watched many vids on it too and you can see the Dodges stop but the wheels keep spinning (most times) and the V-8s seem to just stop.

Me too! I can get in there and hug my BT- you can barely see daylight in the engine bay of a Duramax or a Powerstroke.
