Did yall know...

That a 10 psi boost launch with the smarty on 5 and 155hp injectors produces a white smoke cloud the size of rhode island from the tires?

With my setup, I know the feeling all too well. And I don't have the option of playing around in 4wd. Even though I don't have a Smarty.

get a good clutch in it and then go out and put it in 3rd gear on the street and launch it from about 3500rpms...by the time the clutch grabs and locks up tight, you will be at about 20psi and it will rocket you off after a slow roll to start.

trust me its fun...but only do it if you have a good DD clutch

You just need more fuel, mine builds enough to get my water to come on at 15 psi before the clutch pedal leaves the floor, doesn't happen until about 3800 rpm or so

I like playing the "will it hold" game with my truck. It's really fun because you get to guess wether the smoke is tire or clutch.

My truck is all stock, save for the BHAF and the exhaust, and Im scared to do any kind of launch. Just waiting on the day when I launch it and see the transmission guts laying on the pavement in the rearview...

My stock tranny went through a living nightmare with me doing boosted launches and all sorts of stuff on it and lived to a ripe old age.

same size compressor but my B1 is larger on the exhaust side, and spools a little slower than a SPS or PS62

With my stockish LUK clutch I could get a 10PSI boosted launch in 2nd and like 2PSI launch in 3rd. In 2nd it would leave a nice cloud of sooty smoke and two little clouds of tire smoke

As long as your in 2wd and your tires are spinning you will probably be OK
Its in 4wd and you actually hook the power to the ground that your shafts wont be happy, you might also want to be careful doing lock-up shifts into OD as you will have good hook there and that shift can take out a shaft with the right VB
