Yup, just pulled em outa my ***!
NO, those stem from gas street stock rules where you can't hang weight, these trucks should be able to pull a trailer of hay or cattle. Do you drive yours down the road with a weight rack on? Does your truck ever pull a backhoe that weighs 20000 lb?

I would push for change at these pulls with the screwy rules...
A truck that normally runs 7500 throwing extra weights and such in the cab and bed (to make weight) is a disaster waiting to happen. Quite dangerous really.

I don't run around claiming it's bone stock, once the throttle is tapped you can tell it ain't bone stock. I just don't waste my time updating my sig everytime I put a new nut or bolt on the truck. The rules may seem screwy to you but we leave em like this to encourage local guys who wanna pull the ol farm truck. They see weight racks hangin on trucks and they don't want to compete cause they see the weights as a huge advantage. Most of the guys that pull regular have bolted weights up behind the bumper. The rules are actually no visible weights. What are the rules on how far forward the leading edge of the weights can be from centerline of front axle? I thought it was 60 inches. If that's the case, for maximum leverage why don't more diesel pullers hanging weights move them farther forward?
