Considering going to pulling

Hey guys I've always been a drag racer, and my old 99 was on its way to being a 11 sec go anywhere do anything daily driven dragster. All I needed was head work and Mach 7's on top of my B1/B2.

Anyways I decided to stay away from going fast since my accident, so much so that I bought a 03 6 speed knowing full well that its a terrible platform for drag racing, since I dont have self control.

Would it be a stupid move to get into slead pulling with my 03HO? I live in CA so there arnt that many pulls around here, and I dont want to get my azz handed to me by other trucks like 12V and D-max's at the pulls. I dont want to spend 15K on bombs to make my truck pull well. I still want it to be streetable.

Possible pulling bombs
Smarty
TST
Silverbullet
DD clutch

If better fueling system a MUST for HPRC slead pullers.

I'd go with
DD clutch
air dog or fass
TST or PPE
Bigger turbo (66/14)
some injectors.

I'm gonna hold off on fueling and cp3 mods since we seem to be at the beginning deveopment of CP3 mods and injectors. Lots of people say the CP3 can and will flow like crazy one we figure it out better. Some say that the P7100's should look out.

Well im waiting for that day. 2nd gens see HUGE inprovements when they install bigger injectors like Mach 5's 200+hp sticks. Its easy to drain the rail with just a box on HPCR's and starve the engine of fuel.

I cant wait untill we can get bad azz CP3's and huge 200HP sticks on top of our 550hp trucks with stock fueling.

Injectors already here to. You've got an 03. Injectors have been out for a while for the 03-04.5, and you can get some decent sized ones to.

i think they are up to around 100hp with the injectors now, with a couple options for CP3's, there is the hyper drive kit, and also some expensive full replacement cp3's (i think) its almost making me want to de-mod and sell her for a 3rd gen, especially since right now its broke

Dont do it, I miss my 99 with b1/b2 sooooooo bad.

As far as the time being now, I dont think thats true. Its only been 6 months since modded cp3's have been out. I think there's lot's of room for improvement, and 100hp injectors come on thats not much. If 2nd gens can play with 200HP sticks with there VP44 then why cant we with out better flowing cp3's.

I believe were in the begining of a new wave in fueling mods. I have self control. I'd rather wait and do it right and do it once.

I mean Ive been waiting for over a year for the smarty..... and I havent bought anything else.

Start with your list, (no Smarty for the third gen yet, I don't think) and if you need more, there will be advances to the CP3 and injectors when you are ready for them. Can't the HPCR injectors flow massive ammounts of fuel in stock form?

Could Don do you a custom set of big injectors?

Yes I know the smarty isnt out yet.
No you can drain the rail with a TST alone.

Theres some cp3 mods out there but there not maxed out yet

Another thing to remember about the common rail is that it takes less fuel to make the same amount of power as some of the smokers do.

That's what I was thinking... See how you do with TST, etc...

And if you still need more, hopefully by that time the CP3 mods will have improved, and the BH injectors will be out.
