Do any of you guys run a Haisley clutch, I posted in 2nd Gen Perf, but havent got much feed back. If you do, or have, would you give me your thoughts on them. Its new clutch time for me...gotta make a desicion quick. I dont plan on doing heavy pullin with this truck,. Im bombin it mostly for street. Thanks
IMHO
if haisely can pull, i imagine that they can make one heck of a streetable clutch.... I know that Mitchell has a good streetable clutch, if that fails, try southbend, they have a reputation and a clutch for every need...

i have the haisley strret puller, the clutch is awsome and doesn''t slip. as for being streetable it has a very rough take off it just grabs hard and jumps. i would say go with the street drag. haisley's make some of the best clutches and you can always upgrade i think the charge like $250 to upgrade to the next clutch
I can't really say anything about Haisley clutches. I'm sure they are a great clutch. What I can say is how impressed I am with my South Bend. This is by far the best streetable clutch I have driven. I tow trailers on a dailey basis and the clutch was jumppy at first but after my first 1k miles it is more smooth than any FE that I have driven. the clutch takes off great and has hardly any jump or grabbyness to it. I have come out of the hole at 4500 RPm's and in tall gears and never sliped the clutch. I have the 3850 street puller and Iam so pleased that when I get another hand shaker it will have a SBC DD in it. You just can't beat it. also Peter really stands behind his clutch and went out of his way to help me when my first clutch broke. not only did he replace the clutch free and paid shipping but he up graded it free with all the new stuff he added which made all the difference in the world when it came to street manners. the insert he uses makes the clutch as easy as a single disc o back and take off and the changed finger design mand the clutches have half the pedal pressure of my first clutch. now holding the clutch in when is heavy traffic is no problem.
best of luck on you clutch.

Raise your launch rpms up a few hundred. It'll be grabby for a little while, but as you put some miles on it the engagement will smooth up. Try launching at 1500 or so and it should be smooth as glass. Once you get some miles on it a few hard launches (3000+ rpms WOT quick releases) will make it nice and driveable.

Everytime I do that it causes me to spin em. Im just trying to find some middle ground between almost stalling and roastin rubber. I'll keep at it, thanks Banshee
