Over 200 Pullers This Weekend at the 2nd Annual Bluegrass Super Pull
Over 200 pullers from 14 states will be pulling this weekend at the 2nd Annual Bluegrass Super Pull, December 10-11, 2010, INDOORS at the Alltech Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY. “This is going to be one of the greatest pulls to ever take place in Kentucky,” said Battle of the Bluegrass (BoB) Pulling Series, CEO Tom McConnell. “The best of the best are here, and we look forward to hosting the first pulling event at the world famous Kentucky Horse Park,” commented McConnell.
Friday afternoon, December 10, will kick things off at noon. Economy Hot Rod Tractors, Super Stock 2WD Trucks, Gas 4WD Trucks, FFA Diesel Trucks, Work Stock Diesel Trucks, and Light Limited Super Stock Tractors will be pulling in Session One. The Work Stock Diesel Trucks have several out of state trucks pulling against the BOB Series regulars. “We have trucks from New York, Wisconsin and West Virginia going against BOB Series stars such as Scott Willoughby and Jake Fryman. It will be a battle royal to see who comes out on top,” commented McConnell.
Friday Night at 7pm, things will really heat up, as Super-Modified 2WD and 4WD Trucks will be pulling. Over 13 Super-Modified 2WD Trucks will be pulling as will the local favorites, the Varner Brothers of Midway, KY, will be pulling in the Super Modified 4WD class. Allen Gaines will have his world famous Orange Blossom Special ll doing wheel stands all the way down the track. “Having Allen Gaines back in the sport again is something a lot of fans are looking forward to. He will be there to sign autographs as well,” commented McConnell. Other classes to pull on Friday Night include the Pro Street Diesel Trucks (2.6), Pro Farm Tractors, and Light Weight Super Stock Tractors. “If you have not seen the Light Weight Super Stock Tractors, you will be in for a real treat. Three thousand horse power, wheels up, and you never know what will happen in this wild, wild class,” commented BOB Series President Kevin Fulks.
Saturday Afternoon will get under way at 12 Noon. Classes to run include Light Limited Super Stock Tractors, Pro Stock 4WDs, Mini Trucks, Pro Street Diesel Trucks (2.6), and the 10,000 Hot Farm Tractors.
Saturday Night at 7pm will close out the event. One of the most spectacular classes of Outlaw Super Farm ever entered will be in this session. Twenty tractors from across the nation will battle it out between Super Farm Tractors and Limited Pro Stocks. BOB Series regulars such as Greg Lamb (Black Viper) and the Morris Brothers (Brothers Keeper) will battle it out against such big names as Greg Freeze (Deere Traxx), and Jason Forrester (Papa Smurf). Audra Stratton (Deerelirious) will be the only female driver in the class, going against all the guys. “This lady is a great driver and I look for her to be a real contender in the Outlaw Super Farm,” commented Kevin Fulks.



Saturday Night will also feature some of the biggest names in the Outlaw Diesel Truck class(2.8/3.0). Such stars as Curt Haisley, Evan Smoot, and Adam Hallien will be in competition. Also attending will be Guy Nelson out of Wisconsin in his Power Stroke powered Ford. This truck is featured in the centerfold of the current Diesel Power magazine. All these stars will be pulling against BOB Series regulars like Andrew Sauer, Taylor Stivers and Josh Mosley. “This is going to be the Best Outlaw Diesel Truck class in North America for 2010.” Said BOB Series Diesel Truck Director Chris Goodlet. At the close of this class, Allen Gaines will be pulling his “Orange Blossom Special l” Super-Modified 4WD to see how his super charged, stretched truck competes against the Diesel trucks. “I think I can get them, but you never know till you hook to the sled and see how far you can go.” Commented Allen Gaines.
Also on Saturday Night the finals for several classes will take place. The Top Eight Pullers from the other sessions in the Pro Farm Tractors, Light Limited Super Stock Tractors, and the Pro Street Diesel Trucks will be pulling to see who the overall champion is. The Super Modified 2WD Trucks will also be in competition. The “Orange Blossom Special ll” wheel stander will also be pulling.
