You can now lift you truck 17" and retain your stock front driveshaft.

So do you still fill it with fluid up to the bottom of the fill hole?

Also, it doesn't address the fact that your transmission has about 1" less engagement into the transfer case input shaft...

For the front end the slip joint is in the driveshaft, I don't know about how and how much to fill it up though!

I suppose one could put a ball valve on the fill port and pump it full then close the valve. Then you've got to consider that the low hanging portion of the chain driven case is totally bathed in fluid so there could be problems with that too.

I wouldn't worry too much about the whole situation though. Probably 95%+ of these applications use 4WD enough to warrant a problem. Even when these folks did use 4WD they probably don't use it in a manner that would really stress the components.

I'd be more worried about horrible bump steer!!!
