Anyone going to DHRA in Indy this month?
I went, and had a great time. However, the pull in the street class was run as bad as I have seen at any bush pull. a little more then half way through it, they stopped and reworked/rewatered the track for about 15 minutes. then 9 of the top 10 pulls came after the rework.
How is it fair to the pullers to have this happen? I know it could have been the other way around, and after the rework the track could have been worse. But you do not do this at a National event. If the track gets better (Or worse) as the pull goes on, you live with the results. That`s the luck of the draw!
I know they had to deal with rain for 4-5 days prior to Saturday`s pull, but the track was horible! At least 3-4 trucks in the super street, and modified classes got stuck when they sunk. Kyle Michael in his Duramax must have dug down to the asphalt below the dirt track. (He was in to about his lug nuts running 33" tires!)

My thoughts exactly...if they insisted on working the track in the middle of the class, do it every 6-7 trucks not 20
A good crew would have left it be!
Of course the best thing to do, would be run the stock class first, and work up to the Modifieds...that was a pretty decent track later in the day! The SS and Mods would have put on a good show if they were last

Chris
Last year there were something like 76 trucks in the street class, compared to 46 this year. Last year the temps were approching 100*, this year it was 82*. How could they run through the full 76 trucks last year in 100* heat without reworking the track, if they couldn't do 46 trucks in 82* heat this year?
