I think this is a pretty neat old truck. According to the web site there were four of them used in the filming of the 1971 movie "Duel"....

Maybe it was the movie what caused Chrysler to go BK in 1980.

Yep, thats the Duel truck.
If I remember correctly, that truck is not actually rusted, it's painted like that. I'm sure that I read that on some article...:rolleyes: |

The link to the trucks home page is in my initial post. from the web page The surviving Peterbilt tanker used in Steven Speilberg's 1971 movie "Duel" is alive an well, nestled in its new home near St. Louis, MO. The truck was purchased in Los Angeles and brought back to St. Louis in October 2005. |
