wodering if anyone would help, One of my rigs engine brake is working intermitantly, mostly not now. The question I have is, is their a solinoid between the HI,low,off switch and the assembaly it's self? Its a 88 6v-92 and its in a fire truck, kinda was looking for help quick please..

Check the throttle switch, it definitely has one, the question is where it it located. The high low switch is tied into the throttle switch, look for broken wires or corroded terminals at the switch's. I am assuming this fire engine has an automatic tranny? There also has to be some kind of idle cut off switch, check that also.
