who to get amsoil from???

hey all,

my father would like to run some amsoil synthetic in his truck for his next and upcoming oil changes.

i know some members on here can get amsoil so i am just wondering if any of you can help us out in purchasing some jugs/cases of oil.

his truck is an '08 6.7 CTD. i think it needs a special type of oil but not sure what type . . .

any and all help would be appreciated!

thanx,
jason

It only costs about 20 bucks to sign up as a preferred customer yourself on amsoils website, then you save more than that buying it yourself

I'm sure I saw amsoil in Napa south Calgary but can't say for absolute certainty. Can't comment on the pricing either since I only glanced at it about a month ago. Didn't show up on their website so maybe I was hallucinating.

Only if you're worried about a dealer taking a sample for warranty.

I run 15w40 Diesel and Marine which is not CJ-4 rated. I find it a better oil - but then again, I have no EGR to think about either.

A dealer can sell it for what ever they want(or at least for the suggested price), if your a perferred customer yourself you pay what the dealer pays for the product, I dont sell Amsoil for a living, but I use it in my truck to make my living.

If you get a membership from a dealer, you get the dealer pricing and the dealer gets credits for sales everytime you purchase product...or something to that effect, win win for both parties.

My advice is buy the membership, you get the reduced pricing and you can have it shipped to your door.
I pay just over 100$ for an oil change that lasts me 6months ( approx 30,000kms and approx 1000hrs of run time), thats a heck of a lot of savings for me!!, I have my oil tested, and I can extend it, but I'm a old schooled mechanic, and it takes a bit to let go of old beliefs.
I believe Amsoil states that their (15W40) is good for 80,000kms or 600hrs which ever comes first

Wow, 80000km in 600hr is over 130km/h for every hour of that. Be hard to get to that 80k mark first.
