Well here is the scoop. The new engines adaptor plate is 5/8 of an inch thicker than the one off of the old engine...
Truck is loaded, going to try to hit Red Deer a little earlier than previously thought. Hopefully Excell tranny will change that out for me. Be a hard job to do on the ground in a parking lot in BC

I just sent him a text...
Well Kenny....truck is running but not very well...missing and seems like its running on 3 cylinders...he hasnt ran it very long. Is going to try warming it up and see what happens.
Says hes got lots of fuel. He was thinking the problem was the crank position sensor but he checked it with a meter and apparantely its good. Any ideas guys?
I dont think he has a code reader either.

talked to Chris today(he drove down with Kev/Kelly) and they were headed to BD for a parts run. I'm headed to Van for Sunday's race, hopefully they get it running in time! I"ll grab lots of pics and a few vids.

I have a code reader, obviously I have lots of codes as I have so many things unhooked, but one of the main errors that keeps coming up is crank sensor error and cam sensor error,, which correct me if I am wrong are the same thing. I bought a new sensor at cummins tonight, put it on in the morning. Fixed a few leaks, check again tomorrow for leaks when we get it running again.
I also have to get some stuff for the data logger figured out and see if I can get my nitrous controller working. I seem to have lost the disk, and I dont have the computer that it was on before anymore.
That and the truck is absolutely filthy

Good job Kev. Its coming along then. You must have gotten the starter fixed-up. I bet you must be thinking right now that a 5.9L engine would have been abit less work to the truck up and going intially, but alot less fun at the track. Good luck buddy at Mission, and by the way giver hell buddy.

Kev cam and crank sensors are NOT the same thing here is a pic:
As you can see the cam sensor is up sort of above and behind the ECU but below the CP3, and the Crank sensor is below the ecu, and well right off the crank.
