Who has ever had a tc fail on them, I think mine failed this weekend, but I have never had it happen before, so I dont know for sure that this happened

I broke two TC's, stocker and a BD unit. One billet intermedate shaft. Smoked the OD clutches/unit. Today's tally, Totalled three trannies. If you run hard, its hard to find anyone's tranny that will take a the daily 1400 to 1600 ft*lbs of beating that we dish out. Kev, you could always run a stick, Tate might have a few just begging you to abuse just laying in his garage. He might even throw in a clutch install, he's the pro

Do you have any forward or reverse gears? I only broke the lock-up clutches on mine. That only happens in 3rd or 4th gear depending on valve body. A TC slipping bad would rev higher than normal but still be moving just not very efficently. I don't know how you could stop the impeller without making lots of noise and this would engage the input shaft. If your not moving and sounds like more issues. I would pull the pan and check the filter. I bet its plugged up. You might get lucky with a fluid change and new filter. The torque convert is pretty tuff stuff, there are stators inside and bearings for the impeller. Sometimes the hub breaks on the impeller but most of them are billet and not brazed. Anyways you be would making more noise and would continue to break and send parts into the tranny. Have you done the pressure tests yet? There a ports that you can use to connect a pressure gauge and measure if your tranny is functioning. For the lock-up clutch there a cover on the back of the bellhousing on the tranny you can remove and check for blueing of the converter. If you find lots of material in the pan i.e. metal, clutch material, aluminum you might have broke a hardpart. A broken input shaft you go no where but you sound good doing it. Sorry for the long post, hopefully it helps some.
Well it is sitting at NADP right now, Barry told me to bring it in so he can look at it. The truck still will move, you just have to rev the crap out of it while in 4 low. It moved well enough in this mode that it was able to make it up on to my trailer. This is why I think it is the tc

I am sure hoping it is going to be ready, I drove to Edmonton and back in one day last week, just so they could have a chance to get it done. I am going to call them on monday or tuesday just to check on it. I sure want to be there and race. It is really really running strong, and I still havent put the NOS to it yet... I really think that I can hit the 10's this weekend

All those symptoms sound like the same reaction from all 6 torque converters that went out on my '98. All the peeling material usually made it through the rest of the tranny and took out valves and most forward bands as well.
The above reason is why this one is a handshaker.
