Time to thin the pack

Been having yotie issues next door where my cows are.. The yoties have had pups and it seems this year there was a explosion of pups ( musta been a cold time of year trying to stay warm ) anyhow.. How do you guys if any.. deal with em other then shooting them. Got two last night two the night before and one on the first night. I have seen another half dozen today and its getting spendy shooting em.. Any of you guys call a trapper before for these issues.. They are going to really start piling up and smell if this keeps up.. BTW 257 is weapon of choice out to 425 yards last night. beer on table out on the rear deck and rifle with long bi pod in front of me

depends on what you consider expensive? a few cold ones and a box of ammo or the cost of a calf?

to me, a few rounds and cans and stress releif is cheaper than a dead calf

I hear ya on that.. I went and sat in the field in my jd last night after dark just to watch. This is getting old fast. I'm wondering if a pair of lamas would be a good choice..

If you can round up a couple of donkeys, your problem will be solved. There are a ton of them on Kijiji looking for a home. A couple will work but the more you have, the more effective they are. They will just live amongst your cattle like they know no better.

We have 23 miniature donkeys here on our place and predators are not an issue on our place let alone the neighbors around us. A coyote is not well liked by donkeys and they will be eliminated in short order. Once the coyotes know there are donkeys around in the area, they will stay away.

Shooting them is more fun though. Vaporization at a 1000 meters is a rush!

Sadly, if you did this, the PETA people would come out of the woodwork and protest
