Table Saw

Anyone in or around Calgary have a table saw I can borrow for a few minutes? I need to rip a couple 2x4's for some corner trim.

I got one you can use if you happen to find yourself in the mountains of West Virginia

I've had offers to borrow from people that are 3 and 8 hours away. I've no idea how many hours you are away, but I'm willing to bet its more than 8 hours, plus a couple days on top of that. Thanks though. I think I've got it sorted now.

With all the money you save from not smoking you think you could afford to just buy a table saw!!!

I can afford to buy a table saw. Its just that I don't want to buy a table saw for cutting up three 2x4's. Doesn't quite justify the cost, in my mind at least.

If I want something, thats justification enough. Once this garage is done, I intend to never work with wood again. I'll be so happy when its all over. Paint and install my lights, and its done. Hurray.

Now why did you had to go there, on my 4th day of quitting cold turkey, this morning I was seriously considering making tea out of the butts in the ashtray, cruised to the store to get the nicorette and with shaking hands paid the lady than ripped the box so I can get a piece of gum, LOL.
Now if I can only figure out what to do with my hands as pacing doesn't bother me that much!
Tate, how long has it been since you quit, does it get any easier and when?

Thats not true, I've smoked twice. Been clean for 13 or 14 years now. I often think about taking it up. I miss so much info at work by not going down to the smoke pit.

You should drop out here one day Dave, its been a while.

Try the mini-lozenges. Not everywhere has them but Superstore and Wal-Mart do. They are 100x better than the gum or the big mints the size of a hockey puck.

If you have a circular/Skil saw, you could clamp the 2x4, plus another to use as a guide & rip them that way. Unless you are building fine furniture!

I never did the cigarette smoking thing either.. I have enough other bad habits!!

Alex, best of luck breaking the habit.. It won't be easy but will be well worth it.

Thanx Joe, starting my 6th day without cigarettes or coffee, it seems easier not to smoke if I quit the things I was usually having a smoke with.
