Have you checked the caliper sliders on the truck. I just looked at my rear brake pads. One side is almost done and the other side is still tons of pad. It might be cheaper to just pull the calipers out and lube up the slider. Clean the rotor and put in new front pads. Sometime they go smooth and dont grab worth beans. I've had a few sets go that way, its usually after I do some hard brake stands.

I have a loud clunking sound from my front end. My front end has been toasted for sometime. Its from all the northern BC work that I did earlier in the year and lately I have been enjoying driving over curbs and sidewalks.

Sorry for the late reply, been buzy with work. It's nice to say that finally . You were totally right it turned out to be the inside brake pad. It was totally wore down to the indicater clip. But the outside pad had im guessing 75% pad left. TOOOOO many brake stands im guessing . Had the pads in the garage, quick fix no money loss. But my PMT had broke a few wires and frooze up my truck, it had put it in recovery mode but didnt finish. used buddies Tri dog and fixed her up. Now i got to send it to texas for repairs, what had happened was three wires broke off the circuit board. Plus pulled the 14k trailer out and i was depressed on how hard the truck worked without the chip. No power at all while pulling, i miss the power ALOT!!!! any one have a spare i could buy or know who might have one up for sale? Ill be staying in Okotoks for a month for work starting this thursday. If not i might try to find a Smarty Jr, does anyone use the jr? I so how do ya like it?.

Thanks alot guys Chad...

Diggerdave on cumminsforum and abdiesels has a PMT for sale. It was on his 6.7, but I have heard that it works for the 5.9

Andy (Eat Beef) has a Jr. on his truck, but I haven't seen him on here a long time. Maybe he's just lurking?

If only one side had a wore out pad and the other 3 pads were good, you have an issue, sticky caliper or guide pins or even a failed flex line will cause the pad to hang up. you might need to dig a little deeper to find out why. if both inner pads were wore the same then that would be O'K.

Tate: I know Diggerdave from that forum, But there is no way im buying another PMT. The only part i liked was the screen, that thing has no top end power she just fall's on her face. From what ive heard i wont be able to use the 6.7 with the 5.9 anyway. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Ill keep looking around for something, id like to try the trinity but dont know really anything about it.

red-baron, how does the caliper slider work. I had my rear caliper sliders stuck. They might be just easier to replace and put in lots of lube. I just did my brakes on the weekend. Funny how stuff wears out so fast. I go thru two sets of rear brake for every front set. They are all burnt to a crisp.

My slider gease looked kinda aged so it might be time to buy new stuff. I might be a cheap skate...
