Spring Dyno at AFI Edmonton

Ok...Guys we are starting another thread so I could place a poll for dates on a spring dyno. The majority seem to want to go back to AFI.And to me it does not matter.I just got off the phone with Martin at AFI.He said no problem and he gave me the dates indicted in the poll which he could do the dyno.I asked him about a better rate,he said he would like to but becuase the diesel really mess up the shop, thats why he charges more for the diesel than the cars.Which would make sence. As for sponsors,he said he doesn't book any sponsors,so it looks like the last time we where there, the sponsors invited themselves in.So AFI does not invite sponsors.

Does that mean we should all set our trucks to soot so we get our money's worth?

As for the dates, they all sound good to me. Its all too far in the future for me to commit to anything, but I've been pretty lucky about making them, so I'm sure I could swing it either way.

By the looks of the forecast and the amount of snow still on the ground, there still may be a significant amount up here come mid April. Just an observation. I'm going to reserve vote for now to see what others think first. I do know that Easter is out for me too. I will try to make whatever else however.

I voted for may 23rd. May 9th is Mothers day weekend. Also test and tune at our local drag strip. And once again there is a mudders day mud bog event may 9th and 10th here in fsj. May 23rd works perfect for me.

Good idea Dave, with the poll. May 9 or 23 work for me, but so does the other dates.

Diesel Dave, We should at least put a bigger turbo on your truck for the dyno event. That shouldn't take more than a couple of hours.

May 9 works well for our 2 trucks. Keeps it away from May Long festivities and not having to rush back from 4X4'n!!

Jamie, you get the 12v running 1/2 ton going? You'll have to post some pics for use gearheads to drool on.

APRIL!!! Can never get to any dyno events cause of seeding or harvest!!! I could do the april 18, after that its nose to the grind stone. Should be enough time since the truck is in pieces on the garage floor right now....LOL

Going a different route Mike. I'm going to go with a 4BT to save on weight. It's actually a 3/4 ton Powerwagon.
